What am I suppose to write - about myself or promote Youth.SG website?

 

There has been some confusion here. As mentioned, participants just have to blog about the theme “I am @ Youth.SG” – this is the ONLY RULE for the content. We will like to stress that interpretation of the theme is entirely up to the participants. You need not restrict to writing an introductory essay about yourself or promote the Youth.SG website. We have receive entries about food in Singapore, the education system, a round-up of 2006, etc. All of these are qualified and good entries. Remember, the judging criteria are based on originality, creativity, humour and content.

Can I post a video, photograph or graphic design blog entry for the contest?

Yes, you are most welcomed! We have received such entries and we are always open to alternative forms of expression. Blogging is not restricted to just writings, by all means, let your creativity flow.

 

I want to join, but I do not want my blog to be made public, is this possible?

 

Yes, this is possible. Please request for anonymity when you send in your blog entry to us. However, this is not preferred as one of the purpose of the contest is to showcase promising youth blogs.

Can I take materials from the Youth.SG website and post them on my blog?

Yes you can. However, as it is the norm on the World Wide Web, please attribute the source of the photograph/material to Youth.SG.

 

I think this contest is very interesting, how can I help publicise it?

 

For a start, you can do so by telling all your friends about it and also write a blog entry about our blogging contest. We will appreciate if you can post a side banner/bar as a permanent link to us. In addition, you can write in to iam@youth.sg to request for more publicity material for distribution.

Will we get to see the other participating blog entries?

Yes you will. More details will be announced shortly. Do check back frequently.

 

I will like to interact with the other bloggers, how can I do that?

 

You can chat on our forum as well as post on our blog comments. The forum is free-for-all as long as you don’t spam. You are free to initiate a gathering for all the participants if you want to. (Do let us know if you do that and we will be sure to pop by!)

What are the other prizes other than the three prizes that are announced?

They will be announced shortly. Please check back frequently for updates.

 

How do I know if you have received my entry?

 

We will drop you an acknowledgement email once we received your entry.

 

Why do you need our personal particulars when we send in our vote/blog entries?

This is for verification to prevent repeated votes (for fairness). Also, we need to contact you if you win the prizes. Youth.SG is not a commercial entity. We won't be selling products to you guys. Please rest assured and vote/send in your blog entry for the blogging contest.
