Campus Superstar 2 Top 20
Youth.SG braved the sweltering heat of the sun and the deafening roars of the fans just to bring you the Top 20 of the second season of Campus Superstar. The concert was held at Bishan Junction 8 on 28 April at 3pm.
The “Campus Superstar 2 Relay Concert” was a ceremony whereby the Top 20 finalist were given a chance to watch their predecessors perform and to learn tricks of the trade from them to top the competition. Amongst the seniors were Renfred Ng, Teresa Teng, Geraldine See, Carrie Yeo, Chen Diya, Daren Tan, Nat Tan and Chew Sin Huey.
They each brought an item to encourage the nervous finalists. (Sin Huey brought two, including a first time public performance of 水落石出.)
From left to right, then Top 10 girls are: Luo Jia Qi, Lin Jia Jun, Teri Yeo, Koh Zheng Ning, Keely Wee, Agnes Low, Elaine Ng, Chang Yu-Hsuan, Seah Hui Sian and Joanna Teo.
Respectively, the representative cartoon characters they chose were: Bugs Bunny, Mickey Mouse, Jerry, Stitch, Tweety Bird, Crayon Shin, Puka, Garfield, Hello Kitty and Buttercup.
Zheng Ning, speaking in mandarin, explained that she chose Stitch because she felt that they “both look fierce on the outside but when you get to know me better, I’m actually very bubbly and chirpy”.
While Zheng Ning’s reason gave us an insight to her personality, Elaine said she chose Puka simply because she felt that they both have round faces.

After they have introduced themselves and after the fans have continually screamed their lungs out for an hour or so,it was time for the “pass the torch” ceremony.
Representing the senior class was Teresa, Renfred and Geraldine while the class of 2007 unanimously chose Shaun, who was apprehensive about holding an explosive. Everything ended on a note of high and all the fans were satisfie after being introduced to their Top 20 for Campus Superstar 2007.

They seem to like Disney characters - especially those who are friends of the strange Pooh bear who wears a tee-shirt, but *gasp* NO PANTS.
