Inaugural Guinness 9 Ball Tour 2007 Pro/Am Competition

Guinness 9 Ball Tour In conjunction with the Guinness 9 Ball Tour 2007 (Singapore Leg), Guinness, the number one premium stout in the world, also hosted the inaugural Guinness Pro/Am Competition at venue sponsor, Orchid Country Club

At the end, Sherwin Ng (Guinness 9 Ball Bar Staff Challenge Champion)and Ronato Alcano emerged victorious after beating Eddie Ang (Guinness 9 Ball Open Challenge Champion) and Holman Chin (Guinness 9 Ball Media Challenge Champion), who were partnered with professional players, Cerie Chang and Chang Jung-Lin respectively.

For the participants, it wasn't just a competition. Every moment and every action by the players were captured by ESPN Star Sports and telecast to millions of viewers around the world via the cable channel.

Guinness 9 Ball TourMr. John Galvin, Marketing Manager for Guinness, Asia Pacific Breweries Singapore told reporters this, "Judging by the enthusiastic response shown by the number of people who have flocked to Orchid Country Club this weekend to catch the tournament and to challenge our Guinness Black Foxes at a game of pool, we can affirm that our efforts in generating passion and interest in 9 Ball pool in Singapore have not been wasted." 

All three participants of the Guinness 9 Ball Tour Pro/Am Competition each walked away with $500 cash as well as air tickets and accommodation for two to watch the Grand Championship Final of the Guinness 9 Ball Tour in sunnt Bali from 31 August to 2 September.
