Youth.SG Top 5 Moments 2009 (in stan’s eyes)

Pardon my lateness!

This was supposed to come in during the last week of 2009 if not for the bad case of food poisoning (I’d love to complain about the airline that gave me bad food, but that’s another story for another time)

As we welcome 2010 (and new crew Eunice and Siti), let’s take a moment to reminisce… the Top 5 Youth.SG moments for 2009!

5. Holland Village naked couple

Remember the infamous duo that strutted down Holland Village naked? Yeap, I was there when it happened. And tabloid worked wonders for us. Youth.SG saw a ten-fold increase in visitorship in the same week after we blogged about it!

Let’s hope more naked people walk down the streets more often.

4. Launch of Youth.SG’s first comic series “Youth These Days…”

These are characters that we hope will stick around for a little longer. Will they become as famous as Garfield? Only time will tell. But we sure spent a lot of time on it!

Go get a good laugh if you have not read the series!

3. Youth.SG launches new tagline – “Youth Got It”

We received a whopping 144 entries from readers who suggested everything from “This War Is Ours” to “youth.sg make me young” (we’re still laughing at that one).

And “Youth Got It” turned out to be the one that received the most number of votes!

New tagline! It felt like we were getting a new lease of life.

2. Youth.SG starts Facebook account and reaches 1,200 friends in 2 weeks

After we decided to move our Facebook group to a Facebook account, there was a short period of time where I was obsessive over the number of friends we had. I was clicking on the ‘refresh’ button so often I almost needed to see a shrink.

Well, if you’re still not a friend of ours on Facebook, you’re missing out ALOT. Really.

All the Facebook contests where we gave out Rihanna CDs, Lady Gaga CDs, movie passes to SAW VI? Yeap, all exclusively for friends of Youth.SG on Facebook.

What ya waiting for? Add us as a friend already!

1. FEED ME Finale Concert

And of course, the best moment for me belonged to the concert that marked the end of our 08/09 publicity campaign FEED ME. Nothing beats the exhilaration from seeing at least 300 youths enjoying themselves at a concert where the most dedicated local musicians played their collaborated song for the first time. This… will remain in my memory for a very, very long time.

And… the one that ALMOST made the top 5 (well, probably the best bday I had)
Stan’s beach holiday birthday party

I’m not being biased, but if you’ve seen the effort the Youth.SG team took to surprise me. You’ll be impressed too.

What will 2010 hold for Youth.SG? What will it entail for you and all the youths out there?
All we know is… you make the best out of what you can.

Make 2010 count.

Make it a worthwhile year to live!

To be successful means to get the A+ level and for that, students have to show the great quality custom essay writing. But is it real to create it without an aid of the professional writing service? Yes, that’s achievable, but it will be more easier to buy research paper reffering to this post in web.

The Holland Village couple in the buff is definitely one of the hottest headlines of 2009. Did a roundup of 2009 on that as well.
